Claims Handling

DPS’ Legal Department handles all types of non-marine and marine claims from the moment of notification of the claim up to and including payment of the claim.


Claims Handling services:

  • Registration of new claim file, notifying all parties involved and putting up a reserve;
  • 1st assessment of file (declaration / coverage / facts / claimed amount);
  • Organization of survey;
  • 2nd assessment of file (based on insurance policy and legal terms);
  • Rejection of claim / approval of claim;
  • Evaluation of indemnity;
  • Drafting Receipt and Claim Release / Arranging payment.
