m/v “SAMSKIP EXPRESS”’ grounded

You’re meanwhile probably aware that m/v “SAMSKIP EXPRESS”’ grounded on 21st August 2020 while en route from Dublin to Waterford, Ireland. She had to be removed to port of refuge for temporary repairs in order to safely pursue her voyage. Her Master declared General Average on 25th August 2020. We have been appointed by cargo interests representing containerized cargo to provide General Average securites. We will also investigate the cause of the grounding and eventual cargo damages via our in-house cargo and nautical surveyors based on which we will be able to represent our interests in discussions on potential General Average contribution and potential recovery thereof.
