OUR SERVICE LEVEL
Based at our head office in Antwerp, our in-house marine survey department includes surveyors specialising in all types of fruit and perishables. In addition to their commodity knowledge, the team has extensive technical and nautical experience in handling claims and prevention surveys in reefer containers, vessels and warehouses. With over a century of combined experience in fruit and perishables, this team has unique, world-class practical experience.
In addition to the team of surveyors in Antwerp, DPS has an international team specialising in fresh fruit, composed of highly qualified professionals with proven academic and practical experience and knowledge of the import and export of fresh fruit from the most diverse origins. This team is also well versed in the ins and outs of foreign trade. Based at the International Fruit Desk (Fruit Liaison), this group of specialists is composed of seven members from various countries, including China, Spain, Poland and Belgium, who are fluent in six different languages (Chinese, Spanish, Dutch, English, Polish and French).
In 2022 alone, the International Fruit Desk organised and conducted nearly 2,500 surveys around the world, thanks to the strong and reliable network of experts built up over the years.
Our service of excellence provides exporters with a reliable partner who has the necessary experience to arrange a survey within 24 hours of receipt of the notification and to provide relevant information to the parties involved within 48 hours of the loss. Our service and attention are always available, 7 days a week.
DOMESTIC
Within our department of in-house marine surveyors in the Antwerp HQ we have a team of surveyors specialized in claims surveys in all types of fruits and perishables. Besides their cargo knowledge, the team has a profound technical and nautical experience in handling claims and prevention surveys in reefer containers, ships and warehouses. With a combined seniority in fruit & perishables claims of over one century, this team has world-class and unique field experience.
INTERNATIONAL
Along with the team of surveyors based in Antwerp, DPS also has a team specialized in fresh fruit, composed of highly qualified professionals with proven academic and field experience, as well as knowledge of import and export of fresh fruit from the most diverse origins, as well as experience in foreign trade. This group of specialists is grouped in the International Fruit Desk (Fruit Liaison).
The International Fruit Desk consists of 6 members, each with a vast experience in the world of fresh fruit, including China, Chile, France and Belgium, and among which 6 different languages are spoken fluently (Chinese, Spanish, Dutch, English, German and French).
